The PTA’s Scots Challenge is Highland Park High School’s one-and-only fundraiser! The dollars raised by our generous families and corporate and community sponsors are gifted to the school semi-annually to benefit every student and teacher. Our annual goal is to raise $750 per student in order to meet the needs of our campus.

HPISD’s main source of funding, local property tax collections, is recaptured by the state at a rate of approximately 60%. So, 60 pennies of every dollar collected through local property taxes are sent to the state for redistribution. Your generous Scots Challenge donations are not subject to recapture and allow us to keep 100% of these donations in the district to benefit HPHS! The Scots Challenge campaign allows us to alleviate state funding financial constraints and provide essential and excellent resources for our students and teachers.
